Joseph F. Antonelli – Principal – Antonelli Professional Resources, LTD – Medford, MA

In 1997 Joe Antonelli and his wife Pattie formed Antonelli Professional Resources, LTD, focusing on real estate appraisal and development. The firm was responsible for coordinating the permitting, financing, cost estimates, low-income housing tax credits and management for four developments which totaled 350 affordable housing units and specialized in section 8 rent comparability studies for rental housing developments. Since then, the firm has worked with over 150 clients in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Maine, with more than 200,000 rental housing units.

Prior to starting APR, Mr. Antonelli worked at the MA Housing Finance Agency from 1980 to 1997 as a senior appraisal and marketing officer.  In the late 70’s Antonelli was Assistant Director of the Office of Planning and Community Development for the city of Somerville where he supervised a staff of 42, overseeing all federally assisted grant programs and public work projects.

A decades long member of the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston he served that association as a Vice President, Board of Directors member, and as a member of the Multi-Family Council.

On the state association level Antonelli also served as a state Vice President and member of the Board of Directors. He is well known at the National Association of Home Builders for his unique perspective and innovation on mortgage finance, appraisal and multi-family issues. Antonelli served at the national level as a Multi-Family Council Trustee, Housing Finance Committee, a long service as a Build-Pac Trustee, and is an NAHB Life Director.

Antonelli has garnered Associate of the Year awards from both BRAGB and HBRAMA as well as several Presidents Awards for distinguished service to the association. He is responsible for the recruitment of over 130 members to the association.

Antonelli received his education from Providence College with a degree in Business Administration and he is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in MA, ME, CT and RI.

Beyond his company and the association Antonelli finds time to serve as President of the non-profit Monsignor Neagle Housing Development in Malden and supports several local charities including the Kidney Foundation, and his Alma Maters: Malden Catholic High School and Providence College. Joe and his wife of 42 years, Pattie, live in Medford.

Michael Curran

Michael Curran, a lifelong resident of Massachusetts, began his career in the building industry as an outside sales representative for Merrimack Valley Wood Products. Merrimack was a manufacturer of windows, interior and exterior door units, and other wooden products. In 2010 Merrimack Valley Wood Products became Jackson Lumber and Millwork and Curran continued his employment switching to Jackson. In his sales capacity he serves contractors, remodelers and homeowners in Eastern MA, Greater Boston and Southern NH.

Jackson, headquartered in Lawrence, MA is a family-owned operation that has been in business since 1946 with five locations.

Curran has represented Jackson Lumber at the Northeast Home Builders and Remodelers Association for many years. He has played an integral role within that association generously volunteering his time on numerous committees and functions. He served as President of that organization in 2019 and 2020 insuring the association’s viability during the Covid-19 lockdown. Additionally, he has represented the northeast organization on the state association’s board of directors for over eight years. During his tenure with the association, he has recruited close to fifty new members to NEBA.

Curran credits his father-in-law Mike Limperis, a 2016 “Legend of the Industry” recipient, for teaching him the ins and outs of the industry.

Across his 44 plus years in the building trade he has modeled professionalism, product knowledge and integrity. He has trained new sales staff for Jackson which has helped ensure that customers have informed, dependable representation.

Curran has been honored on several occasions by the Jackson management with the “Spruce Award” for his sales volume, respected performance and teamwork.

Outside of work Mike has spent many years coaching youth basketball and hockey in his home town of Dracut, helping kids develop skills, building confidence and learning the meaning of teamwork.

Mike and his wife, Linda of 43 years have two children, Matthew and Chelsea along with 3 grandchildren.

Mark A. Kablack – Principal – M.A. Kablack and Associates, P.C. – Westborough, MA

For 30 years Attorney Mark Kablack has been a selfless supporter of the Home Builders association. His initial involvement was with the Boston group (BRAGB) from 1995 to 2012 where he served on the Board of Directors and then as BRAGB’s General Counsel from 2003 to 2012. He then joined the Central MA association (HBRACM) where he is currently a member.

Kablack has served on the state association’s Board of Directors for 13 years and chaired the state’s Government Affairs Committee from 2008 through 2013 bringing his expertise in real estate law and land use to the position. Mark currently chairs the Zoning Subcommittee of the HBRAMA Government Affairs Committee. He has recruited over 50 members to the association.

Kablack has been instrumental in developing favorable outcomes on a multitude of statutory, regulatory and policy initiatives throughout the Commonwealth to the benefit of the membership. He has drafted, commented on and provided testimony at legislative hearings on issues affecting the business of home building. Generous with his time, he has become one of the best resources of the state association in helping to manage the regulatory and legislative environment.

The abundance of Kablack’s time spent on association business is but one of the ways he gives back to the industry. He is a past member of the Sudbury, MA Zoning Board of Appeals and the Community Preservation Committee. He is a past Trustee of the Wayside Inn Foundation which is an historic preservation trust in Sudbury. He is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association and past member of the Boston Bar Association where he has co-chaired their Land Use and Development Committee.

Kablack lectures frequently on planning and zoning matters and co-authored “Sustainable Road Design – A Guidebook for MA Cities and Towns.”  He is also a frequent contributor to the HBRAMA Bay State Builder magazine.

Mark’s intellect and volunteerism have been honored by both BRAGB and HBRAMA with the Member of the Year Award and he has received numerous President’s Awards for his professional and thoughtful service to the industry.

Mark lives in New Braintree, MA with his wife of 36 years, Jody. They have two daughters, Justine who resides in New Mexico and Brianna who lives in Washington, DC.

Joseph F. Landers has served as Executive Officer of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Massachusetts (HBRAMA) since 2018. In this role, he has unified the state’s five local associations, strengthened member communications, raised the organization’s public profile, ensured financial stability, and advanced its legislative and advocacy efforts.

Before leading HBRAMA, Mr. Landers was the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Customized Structures, Inc., a manufacturer of single-family, multi-family, and commercial modular and panelized buildings. With more than fifty years in the building industry, he has worked in all aspects of construction—from development and design to production management, on-site supervision, and sales. After selling the company in 2003, he remained on its Board of Directors and later consulted for several building systems firms, guiding them back to profitability and successful sale.

A recognized authority on systems-built construction, Mr. Landers has lectured nationally and internationally and provided consulting services to domestic and foreign firms adopting modular and panelized technologies.

An active member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) since 1974, he is a Past President of two local associations, a two-term President of the New Hampshire Home Builders Association, and a Past Chair of the Modular Building Systems Council. He is a Senior Life Director of NAHB and has chaired or served on numerous national committees, including Budget and Finance, Resolutions, and International Housing. In 2001, he was elected Area Vice President representing the Northeast.

Mr. Landers’ honors include the National Pacesetter Award, Builder of the Year (NH), the S.A. Walters Chairman’s Award, and induction into the New Hampshire Housing Hall of Fame.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Anselm College and Northeastern University. Mr. Landers and his wife, Denise, reside in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and have two children and two grandchildren.

William (Bill) Marsh

William (Bill) Marsh – Founder and President Eastward Companies – Chatham, MA

For over fifty-five years Bill’s Eastward Companies has been a leader in the construction of residential communities, custom homes and historic renovations and additions within the lower Cape Cod region focusing on the towns of Brewster, Chatham, Harwich, Orleans and Dennis. Bill moved from North Adams, MA at the age of 22 to Chatham and began building homes. Bill learned the business from his father with whom he worked during school summer vacations. Marsh attended the University of Wyoming studying Geology and Economics.

The company, still located in Chatham, at the elbow of the Cape, is a full-service design build firm that not only constructs and manages the building process but also provides interior design and landscape services. Bill takes pride in his ability to build a team that creates beautiful homes and nurturing long lasting relationships with his clients, suppliers and trades people.

A long-time member and supporter of the Home Builders and Remodelers of Cape Cod he has likewise been engaged in the communities he serves both financially and as a volunteer. He has participated in fund raising efforts for skilled trade education programs, support of local agencies that support affordable housing, health care, family services and personal recovery programs, childcare, youth enrichment programs and the arts.

Marsh’s generosity and community spirit know no bounds. Over the last twenty-five years Eastward Companies has contributed over a million dollars toward the construction of affordable housing in his hometown of Chatham. His sponsorships and contributions continue with the HBRACC golf tournaments, Art in the Park, Shepley Wide Open golf tournament, Monomoy Community Services, Tools of the Trade and as a financial supporter of the Be Like Brit Foundation which was started by builder Len Gengel of the Central MA association in honor of his daughter Brittany who died, tragically, on a mission trip to Haiti.

Fifty-five years of constructing thousands of homes and a deep sense of community and giving back have earned Bill the distinction as a “Legend of the Industry.”

Wayne H. Walton

For 125 years, L.P. Adams has been providing top quality building materials throughout Berkshire County. The company, headquartered in Dalton, MA, is the oldest continuing retail business in that town. Upon his return from service in Vietnam, Wayne Walton immediately began working alongside his father, Harry Adams Walton. In 1984, Wayne, took over the reins as president and 4th generation owner. He embarked on a massive overhaul of the existing property by adding extensive lumber warehouses over the last three decades. Walton’s great grandfather, Leroy Adams, started L.P. Adams in 1900 when he bought out his partner William Griswald. The company was formerly known as Griswald and Adams.

Walton and his company have been members of the Home Builders Association for over 52 years. Initially he helped form the Berkshire County Builders Association and served two terms as president of that association. Berkshire eventually merged with the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Western MA, headquartered in Springfield. Berkshire remains a chapter under the Western, MA umbrella.

Throughout his career, Walton has had a great impact on the building business by providing professionals and homeowners alike with not only quality building materials but free guidance, estimates and design services. L.P. Adams also educates its customers regarding the latest products and, in conjunction with the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Western MA, provides training space and support for continuing education as required for builders holding construction supervisor licenses.

Generosity has been a hallmark of L.P. Adams and Walton, donating countless hours, materials and financial resources to local organizations such as the local high school press box and concession stand, donation to the local food pantry, boy scouts, and various high school and youth sports programs.

Remembering his service to the country, Walton is involved in many local veteran’s organizations and has supplied material and aid to local veterans for handicap ramps. Walton was even instrumental in bringing the travelling Vietnam Veterans War Memorial to the local area.

Walton’s great grandfather’s legacy is sure to continue as both his daughter Shannon and son Cory, not to mention that two of his five grandchildren work for the L.P. Adams organization.
